Teen Challenge in The Czech Republic was officially established in 1994. Today they are working in more than 10 cities throughout Czech Republic, for example in Prague, Brno, Šluknov and Poštovice. In these cities they have contact centers, street work activities, centers for men and women, re-entry programs of subsequent care, primary preventions and children’s centers.

The capacity in the Teen Challenge adult centers located in Šluknov and Poštovice is 65 beds. The clients, called students, learn new work habits and attitudes that aim to develop their characters with a view to them leading lives free from alcohol and drugs in the future.

Their residential program follows the Global Teen Challenge model. They teach the students to develop work habits, to use their leisure time purposefully, to build relations with other people and gradually to get them ready to enter normal life. The aim of the Teen Challenge training program is full abstinence from addictive drugs or escaping the addictive life style, but mainly full integration to life and society.

Teen Challenge Czech Republic believes that every person has a value and is very important to God. That is why they want everyone to have a new chance so that their unique God given potential is not wasted.
